Here is a current picture of the track. I will try to get a better "Arial" view shot soon. |

Gates Open: Check the schedule or website for "Gates Open" time. Before "Gates Open" time, we are busy preparing the track, setting up track operations (ie: prepping rental karts, putting out P/A system, checking fire extinguishers, putting out trash containers, etc), setting up registration & concessions so we ask that you honor this and don't come out before time. (Now then, if you want to help put out trash cans, clean port-a-potty and stuff like that - man come on out!) |

Registration: Registration also opens at the same time as the gates do. You can drive in and find pit spot first then come to the window to register if you want. However, each adult needs to come to the window to sign in! We ask that wives don't sign in for husbands and vise versa. Parents can sign in for their children and will be required to fill out a Minors Release on all children under 18, whether or not the child is a driver - ALL MINORS IN THE HOT PIT AREA ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A MINORS RELEASE ON FILE. A new form in also required each racing series. IMPORTANT INFO ON MINORS: if your child wants to bring a friend to watch and they will be in the Hot Pit area, you will need to have their parent(s) sign the Minors Release form. You can call me and I will fax you (or them) one, or you can email me and I will email you the form (in an attachment). The parent (or other legal guardian) is the one who needs to sign this form - it really doesn't count if a friend does it. Current rates are $20 for Drivers, $10 for second class (for same driver) and $5.00 each person for pit pass. (Drivers fee includes the driver's pit pass.) Currently the spectator area at the Northwest corner off the track is FREE. As costs accumulate in providing you with a top notch kart track/facility, we may need to charge for spectators - so this is subject to change. When you register for your class you will draw a number for starting position for Heat #1. Heat #2 grids are then inverted. The Feature is based on the averages of how both heats were completed. If there is a tie - we go back to the draw to break tie. There is a "Heat Maximum" of 8 karts. If more than 8 karts have registered for any particular class then that class will be divided into an A and B class then combined for the Feature. There may be exceptions to this rule for adult classes at the Race Director's discretion. |

Medic: There is a medic at each race here at KAM Kartway. We have been blessed with a truly wonderful person that has volunteered as our Medic for the last year. When and if he is not here we will make arrangements for a replacement, but there is always going to be a medic on-site for race nights. Safety is our top priority. There is not an ambulance on-site. Please remember that kart racing has an inherent degree of danger. KAM Kartway does not provide insurance on drivers (or anyone for that matter) so if you get hurt and require medical treatment it is your responsibility. You are racing and participating at your own risk. |
